Saunas have undergone many innovative changes over the years. Traditional saunas consisted of a low humidity and high heat setting. Water is trickled over hot rocks and the temperature of the sauna will range from 180 – 190 degrees F. Now, saunas have evolved to offer people a wide variety of different types of saunas. One such sauna is the Infrared Sauna which has shown to be more effective than traditional saunas.

An infrared sauna is a sauna that makes use of special heaters to create and release infrared rays. Electromagnetic energy goes into the body and heats by a process known as conversion. The infrared therapy uses a ceramic component to emit the infrared rays. Unlike traditional saunas, infrared saunas do not use steam. A special heater created infrared waves that heat your body. As well, the temperature is cooler with temperatures ranging from 110 to 130 degrees F. The cooler temperatures allow for lengthier sauna sessions allowing for more perspiration to be produced.

Infrared saunas have proven to be more effective. Infrared rays that penetrate the skin and body causes the toxins in the fat cells to loosen and then the toxins are released through the process of perspiration. Infrared has been shown to be a much more effective way of expelling bacteria, toxins, and metals from the body.

Using infrared saunas also boosts circulation of the blood which carries oxygen needed to help heal injured tissue. The result is a decrease in muscle pain and inflammation, pain in the joints, and muscle spasms. The healing process becomes much quicker. The penetration of the rays is deep which makes it an effective therapy for those suffering from bone and joint conditions such as arthritis.

It also helps improve the skin. It is an effective method of clearing up acne and other skin irritations. Studies have shown that infrared saunas are able to cleanse the body much better than traditional saunas. These saunas are also more effective at promoting stress reduction, helping one to relax, and improving ones sleep patterns. As well, there is an improvement in breathing as these saunas clean out mucus.

Studies have shown that infrared saunas cause one to perspire three times the volume as a traditional sauna. As well, infrared is more effective at removing such substances as cholesterols, mercury, nicotine, alcohol, ammonia, and many other hazardous elements.

Infrared saunas are less expensive to install and installation is much easier. In most cases, installation can take about a couple of hours. They are also much easier to clean because there is less humidity such as with a traditional sauna.

When toxins accumulate in the body and circulate throughout the body, one can suffer from constant fatigue, a variety of illnesses, pain, and also disease. Infrared saunas have been proven in US testing to be more effective and detoxifying the body than traditional saunas. People who have experienced infrared saunas have reported more effective results both physically and mentally. They have had improved skin, more energy, weight loss, improvement in various health conditions, and an overall feeling of good health and well being.

Water Purification – An Essential Step to Fight Health Ailments

Water purification has become an urgent need of todays time. There is so much of pollution around that consuming contaminated water is nothing less than an open invitation to all types of health ailments.

The water which is supplied to our homes is nowhere filtered. It is collected from open natural reservoirs which have every chance of containing dried leaves, animal feces and debris. It also has pesticides and fertilizers run off.

This water is stored by the water companies in big reservoirs where it is at the risk of microbial infection. Bacteria, virus and cysts easily develop in this water. Not to forget about the algal growth and rust in the water transmission pipes. Water companies also add disinfectants like Chlorine to the stored water.

Now when this same contaminated water is supplied to our homes – unfiltered – you can easily imagine the consequences of consuming it. And this is exactly where water purification fits in.

Water purification is necessary to prevent such contaminants from reaching your body and harming it. They can lead to acne, stomach infection, cholera, typhoid and cancer too.

The best way to get around this problem is to use an effective water purifier.

While one purification technique may work only for one specific type of pollutants, there are some purifiers which employ multiple purification techniques. Typically they are the multi block purifiers which are based on cutting edge technologies of sub micron filtration, carbon filtration and ion exchange.

All these techniques work in synergy to remove all organic and inorganic contaminants from the water while at the same they retain the essential minerals present in natural water. These minerals are stripped off by some purifiers like the ones based on Reverse Osmosis. But such mineral deprived water has a bad, flat taste and causes mineral deficiencies too.

Water should be purified but only the contaminants need to be taken out. The minerals present in water should be retained as they are required for the day to day activities of our body.
